Members of the National Honor Society assume certain obligations upon induction. These obligations begin with a commitment to uphold and advance the ideals of the Society in their community, school and personal lives. To this end each member is expected to:
- maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.3 or above,
- to grow in the quality of leadership,
- to serve in their community and school, and
- to conduct themselves in a manner that will reflect positively on the Society.
In addition each member is expected to:
- regularly attend meetings of chapter,
- participate in the service and fund-raising projects of the chapter, and

Failure to meet these obligations will leave the member open to disciplinary action which may include written warnings or reprimands, probation, and/or expulsion from the Society.
