7-12 Grade Bulletin
March 8, 2010
- The Missouri Council of Teachers of Mathematics held their 2010 Regional Middle School Math Contest on Saturday, March 6th, Gentry Middle School. From Christian Fellowship, the following students participated:
7th grade: Elliot Goodman
8th grade: Elizabeth Cundiff, Jaemin (Harry) Kim
- There were several area middle schools attending, which included LOTS of kids. The top 10 in each individual test were awarded ribbons, with the top three eligible to participate in the state championship on May 1 in Springfield. There were 5 teams in the 7th/8th Team Competition, with only the first place team going to state.
Our awardees were:
7th grade Competition: Elliot Goodman placed 3rd – so is moving to state completion
8th grade with Algebra: Elizabeth Cundiff placed 10th, Jaemin (Harry) Kim placed 6th
7th/8th Team Competition: CFS team (Elliot Goodman, Elizabeth Cundiff, and Jaemin (Harry) Kim) placed 2nd out of 5 teams total – They received a Second place plaque.
