We are currently taking applications for the following positions at CFS:
CFS is in need of full-time and/or part-time Bible teachers for grades 6 – 11. These positions provide daily classroom instruction to students. As a Christian school, all faculty and staff at CFS must profess a personal faith in Jesus Christ and model Christian character and discipleship in school, at home, and in the community.
Education and Skills: Requires a minimum of a bachelor’s degree, preferably in a Bible related area. A teaching certificate is also preferred, but not required. This teacher must be able to work independently, present the Bible curriculum in an engaging fashion, and connect well with students on a personal level.
Responsibilities: Develop and implement lesson plans. Administer assessments, homework assignments, record grades, and communicate with parents, administration, and other staff and faculty as appropriate.
High School English Teacher
This is a part time position teaching two, daily classes of English and Language Arts to 9th and 10th grade students. This position may also be expanded to include a Speech and Drama class depending upon a candidate’s experience and education. As a Christian school, all faculty and staff at CFS must profess a personal faith in Jesus Christ and model Christian character and discipleship in school, at home, and in the community.
Education and Skills: Requires a Bachelor’s Degree and a strong aptitude and ability in English/Language Arts. A teaching certificate is preferred, but not required. This teacher must be able to work independently with supervision, understand the skills required and have the knowledge base for instructing in grammar, writing, and literature and use instructional strategies that facilitate effective outcomes with students.
Responsibilities: Develop and implement lesson plans and instruction in English/Language Arts to high school students. Administer assessments, homework assignments, record grades, and communicate with parents, administration, and other staff and faculty as appropriate.
High School Varsity Girls Basketball Coach
Significant experience at playing and/or coaching basketball at a competitive level.
At least 60 hours of college credit.
Skilled at organizing practices, game strategies, and other team management responsibilities.
Able to effectively communicate with players, parents, and school administration.
Personally mature, responsible, and dependable.
Effective in working with high school players.
Spiritually mature and able to model Christian character and discipleship.
This is a part-time, seasonal position from the end of October to the middle of February. Availability would be required for after-school practices and evening and some Saturday games. This position receives a stipend of $2,000 for the season.
