We are currently taking applications for the following positions at CFS:

  • Middle School Math and Science Teacher

    This is a full-time position teaching math and science to 6th and 7th grade students and Bible to 6th grade students. As a Christian school, all faculty and staff at CFS must profess a personal faith in Jesus Christ and model Christian character and discipleship in school, at home, and in the community.

    Education and Skills: Requires a Bachelor’s Degree. A current Missouri teaching certificate is preferred, but not required. This teacher will plan and teach assigned classes following prescribed curriculum according to the established scope and sequence. The teacher will differentiate instruction to maximize the learning of all students within the classroom.

    Responsibilities: Develop and implement lesson plans, administer assessments, homework assignments, record grades, and communicate with parents, administration, and other staff and faculty as appropriate. Maintain a quality learning environment for students through proper classroom management procedures. Participate in professional development sessions and other faculty and staff related meetings and planning groups as required.

  • High School Math Teacher (Part-time)

    This is a part time position in the CFS Individual Instruction Center (IIC) providing individual or small group instruction to students who are having academic difficulty in the regular classroom. Subjects taught may include Pre-algebra, Algebra, Algebra II, and Geometry. This teacher serves students from 8th to 12th grade and works under the supervision of the lead IIC Teacher. As a Christian school, all faculty and staff at CFS must profess a personal faith in Jesus Christ and model Christian character and discipleship in school, at home, and in the community.

    Education and Skills: Requires a Bachelor’s Degree and a strong aptitude and ability in secondary math. A teaching certificate is preferred, but not required. This teacher must be able to work independently, present different problem solving strategies to students to facilitate comprehension, and connect well with students on a personal level.

    Responsibilities: Develop and implement lesson plans for one or a small group of students. Administer assessments, homework assignments, record grades, and communicate with parents, administration, and other staff and faculty as appropriate.

If you are living in the Columbia area and have a heart for Christian education, we are always interested in talking with people about being on our substitute teacher and substitute teacher's aide list.  

 

High School Varsity Basketball Coach

  1. Significant experience at playing and/or coaching basketball at a competitive level.
  2. At least 60 hours of college credit.
  3. Skilled at organizing practices, game strategies, and other team management responsibilities.
  4. Able to effectively communicate with players, parents, and school administration.
  5. Personally mature, responsible, and dependable.
  6. Effective in working with high school players.
  7. Spiritually mature and able to model Christian character and discipleship.

This is a part-time, seasonal position from November through February. Availability is required for after-school practices and evening and some Saturday games. This position receives a stipend of $2,000 for the season.

Christian Fellowship School is a small, private, Christian school in Columbia, MO and is a member of the Missouri Christian Schools Athletic Association.
