Special Events

Students of all ages enjoy a variety of celebrations together and field trips to enhance what they are learning in the classroom.  Here is just a sampling of the events we have:

August:

Back to School Splash - Pre-K to 5th grade - held at Wilson's Beach Club, the students can enjoy the pool, bounce house and arm art while parents socialize with one another and the teachers and staff.

September:

Fall Dinner & Carnival - held at the school, this is an informal and fun event to allow parents, grandparents and friends to join us for dinner and carnival games for all ages.  Our CFS seniors serve the dinner, and other students help with the games, so it is a fun time for everyone!

October:

Book Fair and Read-a-Thon - held at the school, the PK-5th grade students enjoy an entire week focused on reading ending with a fun day of reading in the classroom.  CFS Seniors meet with their First Grade Pen Pals to read together too!

Spirit Week and Homecoming - our 6-12th grade students enjoy themed dress up days during the week, a pep-rally to send the teams off to the state tournament, a bonfire, and a dance.  It's a busy but fun week!

Fine Arts Showcase - a relatively new event, this is produced by our 9-12th grade fine arts students and showcases their talents in art, acting and music.

Spring Gala - held off campus, this event is designed to attract the local community so we can educate them about the school while raising funds to fund special needs of the school like tuition assistance and electronic upgrades as well as fund our renovation and expansion expenses.

Grandparents and Grandfriends Day - starting with a full breakfast in our gymnasium, followed by visits to the classrooms, and ending with an assembly in the auditorium, this event brings a tear to the eye of everyone as they witness the precious bond between K-5th grade students and their grandparents!

Peter Rabbit Play - a tradition for well over two decades, this play is attended by parents, grandparents and the entire school as the older students reminisce about their roles in the Peter Rabbit play when they were in First Grade!
